Terms of Use

The service

TriviaHall lets you build, share, and host Jeopardy-style trivia boards. By using the service you agree to these terms; if you don't agree, please don't use it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the boards you create. By publishing a board to the public library, you grant other visitors permission to view and play it. Don't publish content you don't have the rights to.

Acceptable use

Keep content appropriate for general audiences. No unlawful, harmful, or infringing material. We may remove boards that break these rules.

Availability & changes

We aim for the service to be available at all times, but we can't promise uninterrupted access. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the latest version.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided 'as is' without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TriviaHall is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service.

Refund Policy

7-day money-back guarantee

Premium plans are billed monthly or annually: $5/month or $39/year for Premium, $9/month or $69/year for Premium+. If you're not happy, you can request a full refund of your most recent charge within 7 days, no questions asked.

Cancellations

You can cancel any time to stop future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Past the 7-day window, charges are generally final, but we still review accidental or duplicate charges case by case.

How to request a refund

Send us a message through our contact form with the email address you paid with and your purchase date. We'll reply to confirm, then process your refund back to your original payment method. It usually lands within 5–10 business days.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

We store the boards you publish (title, description, creator name, categories, questions, and cover images). If you create an account, we also store your email address and login details. We also collect privacy-friendly page-view statistics to understand how the site is used.

How we use it

Your content is stored so that you and other visitors can browse and play your boards. Account details are used only for sign-in and account-related emails. We never sell your data.

Cookies

We use essential local storage to keep you signed in and remember your theme. We also use Umami Cloud for privacy-friendly analytics: it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and tracks no ads. It records anonymous page views (page path, referring site, browser type, and country) so we can see how the site is used. Nothing is used for cross-site tracking, and you can reopen this notice anytime via 'Cookie settings' in the footer.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your boards at any time from 'My Games'. You can request deletion of account data by contacting us.

Contact

Questions about this policy or your data? Reach out through the contact information provided with your account.

Data Retention

Games & drafts

Boards, puzzles, and Bingo games you delete are removed from the site immediately and permanently purged from our systems within 90 days. Unpublished drafts are stored only in your browser's local storage. They're never uploaded to our servers, and you can clear them anytime.

Account data

When you delete your account from Settings, your games and personal data are removed right away, and any remaining account data is fully deleted within 30 days of a verified request.

Newsletter & feedback

Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Feedback and content reports are kept until they're resolved, plus 90 days.

Children's Safety

Student privacy in the classroom

Playing a game in class never requires an account. Students don't sign up, don't log in, and never enter personal information: we collect no student data of any kind. Team scores live only in the browser on the teacher's screen and aren't sent to us. There's also nothing to install, since TriviaHall runs in any modern browser tab on Chromebooks, smartboards, and standard school devices.

Our commitment

TriviaHall is designed to be safe for children and families. Boards published to the public library are automatically screened for inappropriate content before they go live, and every board can be reported by visitors.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to create an account for you.

Reporting & removal

If you come across a board that seems inappropriate, tap 'Report' on its page. We review every report and remove boards that break our rules.

Stay in the loop: new boards, puzzles, and features.

TriviaHall is a small team building free review games for teachers. Every starter board was made in-house, and we're opening the platform to teacher-creators now. Tell us what your classroom needs and help shape what we build next.
